Fever Grass (Lemon grass) Tea

I am sorry that I have been off the radar for a while, I was feeling down and fighting with a flu, that wanted to get me down, as no painkiller or cold medicine was helping, I had fever, headaches and cramps. I am feeling a lot better now, thanks to some great fever grass tea, to break the fever, lots of rest and the beach.

The true name is lemon grass tea, but in the golden day, grandparents use to love to call it fever grass tea, and give their children and grand children to drink it as it was mostly used for relieving colds, fever, and coughs.  My mom and aunts used it for bladder disorders, menstrual cramps, nausea and to relieve headaches.

Fever Grass (Lemongrass) Tea

1 blade fever grass
1 cup water
Sugar to taste

Two blades of Fever Grass. Place in water to boil over low heat. The flavor seeps into the water very quickly. Allow to boil for 3 minutes and remove from flame. Remove the grass and sweeten according to taste.
