Dasheen Biscuits

I know that these biscuits are packaged and sold in stores, but baking them at home is always better.

4 ozs  butter

4 ozs white sugar

1/2 tsp baking powder

1 large egg

1 cup dasheen flour

1 cup plain flour

1 cup desiccated coconut

Cream butter and sugar until light.  Add eggs  and coconut.  Sift in the flours (dasheen and plain flour) and baking powder.  Mix to form a stiff dough.  Roll out on a flour board.  Cut into biscuits and placed on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 o/f until golden brown 15-20 minutes.

Sorry, I left the biscuits in the oven too long and went and did other things and the biscuits got burnt, so I borrowed this photo. Thanks.
