How to make Barbecue Sauce

Everyone loves either barbecue steak, pork or chicken. How easy it would be to make our own signature barbecue sauce, whether original or hot and spicy. I am going to be giving you all the variation for both the original and the hot and spicy barbecue sauce.

Original Barbecue Sauce
2 cups tomato ketchup
1 cup tomato puree
1 tsp mustard
1/2 cup chilli sauce
1/4 cup grated onion
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp hot pepper
1/3 cup rum
1 tbsp brown sugar (optional)

Combine ketchup, tomato puree, water, mustard, chilli sauce, onion, salt, pepper and rum; cook on medium heat, stirring constantly for 5-7 minutes until thickened.

Hot and Spicy Barbecue Sauce
Add 1 tbsp minced chadon beni, 1 tsp minced garlic, 2 tbsp vinegar and 1 cup brown sugar to basic barbecue sauce before cooking. Increase hot pepper to 2 teaspoon (optional).
